Film and theatre actress Elizaveta Maximová comes from Kazan, Russia, but has lived in Prague since childhood, where she studied drama at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. During her studies, she was already a guest at the National Theatre in Prague and soon began to dazzle in many television and film roles. The student films Atlantis, 2003 (directed by Michal Blasko) and Ondrej Erban’s 128k, in which she played the main character, were selected for the prestigious Cinéfondation competition at the Cannes IFF.
For her role as Marta Švarcová in a story set in the early 1950s she earned
a nomination for the Czech Lion Award.
